What a great honor it was to be awarded the BRCC Clubman of the year. I don’t consider that what I do is really any different to what others do around the club. Everyone involved with the club are volunteers and does the things they do because they love cricket but also because of the quality of the people at the club. It is truly a great club and welcomed me and my family with open arms just over 3 years ago. It’s an absolute please to be around the club. There are a number of people that need to be thanked and acknowledged. The best example of a truly outstanding clubman and just a great all round bloke, Andrew Robson. You have done so much for the club over the past years it is hard to imagine you not being around. Good luck with your new endeavours in Sydney. Robert Hayes is an unsung hero. If anything needs done around the club, especially the nets, Haysie there just getting things done. Regan Sheehan – Looked after the 2nd grade side and couldn't have built a better team environment if he tried. Did a fantastic job with the young guys coming up from juniors. Also massive thanks for looking after Dominic Santer and making him feel part of the team. Jason Cox is another who typifies what BRCC is all about. Always willing to help whether it’s filling for games or doing some repairs around the club. Jason Kann and his family just live the club culture. Offered to take in Jason Kila and looked after him well. Kanny does a power of work with the clubs communications, facebook, web pages and introduced the BRCC app this season. Moose, Andy Manion and Peter Hill all are great contributors. To all the committee members and Glenn Denniston, thanks for all your time effortBlake Emblem and John Kerr must be commended for their work with the juniors and they have developed a group of young men that are respectful and more than willing to help the club out when asked. Thanks to all the skippers, Stix, Regan, Ian Robertson, Jezza Smith, David Hardenand Tom Rossiter. You blokes have the hardest jobs making sure everyone gets a fair go while trying to lead your sides in winning games. Tough gig and while the results this season were not to the high standard we now expect you have all done exceptionally well under difficult circumstances. Last but certainly not least, thanks to my wife, Melinda Santer. She has basically looked after the whole house for the past 7-8 months while I spent most nights either at the club training, coaching, helping or playing on the weekends. Not one grumble so I’m starting to think that she has enjoyed me not being around :-) The 2015/16 season promises to be huge. The planning, player group and potential is looking extremely positive. There still plenty of hard work before the next season starts and the club needs all the help we can get. Can’t wait for pre-season to start. See you all there soon. ... See MoreSee Less
Great night last night, great venue, great food, great crowd. Thanks to Robbo, Jason, Darren and Melinda for their help on the night. Thanks also to DIV4 who were sensational and hopefully we can entice them back next year. Congrats once again to all our award winners well deserved by you all.
Apologies to Grant Edwards don't know how I could have mixed you up with Peter Hill you look so a like!- heat of the moment faux pas! Thanks Grant for the passion and energy you put in to the team and the club this season.
Once again we showed why we are such a great club to belong to - there were many highlights on the night and for me none greater than the pleasure in presenting Sean's parents Ross and Carol Fitzsimmons with Honorary Life Membership and having our current life members on stage presenting awards.
It was a pleasure to have our new, and first, club patron Cr Paul Taylor and his wife Yvonne in attendance along with long time supporter Alison Kennan.

The Chris Littlechild Club Champion award (Presented by Chris Littlechild) went to Steve Baker The Best Clubman award (Presented by Mike Brooke) went to Darren Santer Alan Presley presented the Norm Hansen award for Over 40's Player of the year to Ian Robertson.
